In Oberwolfach there are several hotels such as Hirschen, Walkenstein, 3 König and Schacher. If you can't get a room there, you can also have a look in Schapbach, Wolfach or Hausach. From there the festival is easy to reach with a five to 15 minute drive. An overview of accommodations in the Wolftal can be found at wolftal.de.
Those who come with a camper will certainly find a nice place on site, but there is no designated camping site.

If you want to be sure to be able to attend the festival, it's best to get your ticket already during the presale. Only if there are any left over there will be remaining tickets at the box office. They cost 29 euros – so in presale you also save money 😉
Especially for the festival there will be a Buntwald Festival bus stop. It is located only a few meters from the entrance. Everything else regarding the arrival can be found here.

The parking lot is located on a meadow, where motorcycles and similar vehicles can not be parked well. If you want to come by motorcycle, we recommend to park in the district Oberwolfach-Kirche and walk to the festival area (about 10min).
The so called "Muttizettel" (roughly translated: a slip from your mom) is a form that allows minors between the age 16 and 17 to attend events with an appointed supervisor instead of their parents. This is required by the German Youth Protection Act (JSchG).

To kick off the festival on Friday, July 1, there will be an open stage that is open to all artists who want to make a big appearance - no matter whether they are musicians, poetry slammers, magicians, acrobats or fire-eaters. No tickets are needed for the open stage, instead we appreciate donations. Be excited and get surprised who has signed up for the open stage. This much can be revealed: It's worth it!

We are happy about everyone who wants to celebrate with us at the Buntwald Festival. However, the site is located on a sloped meadow and is for example not really suitable for wheelchairs. Furthermore, there are no wheelchair accessible toilets on the site. If there are any questions about this in advance, please feel free to contact us. E-mail: .
The nearest pharmacy is the Linden Apotheke in the district of Oberwolfach-Kirche.
By entering the festival area, the festival visitor agrees that Buntwald e.V. as organizer, may take and publish photos and videos of all participants.
The presale started mid of May and runs until June 22. You can get tickets at these presale points: Volksbanken in Oberwolfach, Wolfach and Hausach, at the "Alte Simpel" in Wolfach, at the Hotel Hirschen and at the flower store in Oberwolfach. Tickets are also available online on our website. All further information on tickets is available here.

For your on-site security, there will be stewards and security staff who will be happy to help you with any questions or problems. In order to celebrate a peaceful and trouble-free festival, the instructions of the staff have to be followed.
As you know, we celebrate the Buntwlad Festival on the green meadow - ergo cows graze there again afterwards or the grass is harvested. That's why we have to pick up every cigarette butt after the festival. To make our job a little easier, we have ashtrays ready for you. You have our gratitude and that of nature for keeping the site clean 😊

Tickets are needed only for Saturday. Children and teenagers do not need a ticket. A ticket is required for visitors aged 14 and older. All further info on tickets is available here.
It starts on Friday with the open stage at 6 pm. The program starts at about 6:30 pm. Be surprised which artists will present their skills. This much can be revealed: It's worth coming 😉
Those who start early can celebrate longer: This definitely applies to Saturday. There we look forward to happy festival guests from 3 pm. Starting at 3:30 pm, six bands will ensure the proper party mood.

At the Buntwald Festival - of course - the German Youth Protection Act (JSchG) applies. Children and young people are welcome to attend if accompanied by an adult. Children up to 12 years celebrate with their parents, from 13 years on they are allowed to be with another registered supervisor if they have the required form ("Muttizettel") signed by their parents. Young people between 16 and 18 must be in the company of their parents or a supervisor with a Muttizettel after midnight.
You can download the Muttizettel here.
