We look forward to welcoming everyone who wants to celebrate with us at the BUNTWALD Festival. However, our unique festival site is located on a sloping meadow and is therefore unfortunately limited in its suitability for wheelchairs. A porta-potty for people with disabilities is available.

In Oberwolfach there are several hotels such as Hirschen, Walkenstein, 3 König and Schacher. If you can’t get a room there, you can also have a look in Schapbach, Wolfach or Hausach. From there the festival is easy to reach with a five to 15 minute drive. An overview of accommodations in the Wolftal can be found at wolftal.de.

Those who come with a camper will certainly find a nice place on site, but there is no designated camping site.

Anyone wishing to take professional photographs and/or report on the BUNTWALD Festival requires the appropriate accreditation.

Of course you are allowed to bring bags and backpacks and take them onto the festival site. However, you must be aware that these will be checked at the entrance. In order to keep waiting times as short as possible, we ask you to bring only the essentials and to avoid large bags.

A valid identity card is required for admission control. The age limits for minors (U18) apply to both the festival grounds and the camping site:

• up to and including 15 years: Access to the site only with a parent, legal guardian or accompanied by an adult with written permission and copies of identity cards.

• 16 up to and including 17 years: Attendance after 24:00 only with a parent, legal guardian or accompanied by an adult with written permission and copies of identity cards.

Lots of people and loud music: not exactly the conditions under which animals feel particularly comfortable. That’s why animals are not allowed on the festival grounds and campsite. Please leave your dog, cat, guinea pig, ferret, tarantula, pony and all other pets at home. This is in their and your best interest.

In the Oberwolfach-Kirche district there are branches of both the Sparkasse and the Volksbank with ATMs.

We also offer you to withdraw cash using your card at the voucher counter.

You want to come by bike? Great idea – the environment and your fitness will thank you too ✌🏼. There are plenty of parking spaces where you can lock your bikes. Please make sure you use sturdy locks; we accept no liability.

Small service note: There is a legal alcohol limit for cycling in Germany 😉.

If you want to be sure to be able to attend the festival, it’s best to get your ticket already during the presale. Only if there are any left over there will be remaining tickets at the box office. They cost 48 euros – so in presale you also save money 😉

Children and young people up to the age of 13 in the company of a parent or guardian can join the party without a ticket. Visitors aged 12 and over need their own ticket.

The BUNTWAND-Crew has one big goal: to give you a great and unforgettable festival. We are constantly trying to improve our processes and the festival in order to get the best out of it for you. Friendliness and respect are the basic prerequisites for a happy atmosphere. A little understanding, common sense and patience are also part of it – and that’s what we hope for from you too 😉. We ask you to always obey the crew and security staff. If you have any questions or problems, you can always speak to the security staff or our crew members and describe your case. Unfortunately, we do not have any electricity at our campsite. Power generators are not allowed.

This may not come as a surprise, but we would like to point it out anyway: Open fires are prohibited on the entire campsite and festival grounds. Liquid barbecue lighters must also not be used. We are in the middle of nature – both are simply far too dangerous.

The German Red Cross (DRK) is always available on the festival site to provide first aid. The first aid tent is signposted and easy to find on the festival site.

A delicious and diverse range of food and drinks at fair prices awaits you at the BUNTWALD festival. If you’re hungry, stop by one of the food stalls – whether with meat, vegetarian or vegan: everyone will find something to suit their culinary tastes.

Please note: You are not allowed to bring your own food and drinks onto the festival site.

Power generators are neither permitted on the parking and camping site nor on the festival grounds.

Glass is strictly prohibited on the entire festival site and the campsite. There are no exceptions, not even for pickle jars, Nutella, deodorants, perfumes etc. Plastic shot cups are also not allowed.

Sounds harsh? Yes, but for a good reason: animals regularly graze on the meadow. Shards of glass in the grass can be a real danger for them.

A much-discussed topic. But the rules are fairly simple: Is any part of your hookah made of glass or porcelain? If so, then it falls under the glass ban and may not be brought in. If absolutely nothing on the hookah is made of glass, then you are welcome to bring it along.

Lost items can be handed in at the voucher counter during the festival. If you have lost something, please ask there.

Anything left behind after the festival will be handed over to the municipal lost and found office in Oberwolfach.

As you know, we celebrate the BUNTWALD festival on a green meadow – which also means that cows will be grazing there again afterwards or the grass will be harvested. We would therefore be grateful if you would leave the site and especially the campsite as you found it.

Coming by motorcycle? Then we recommend parking in the Oberwolfach-Kirche district and taking a ten-minute walk to the festival site. This is because the on-site parking lot is located on a meadow where motorcycles & co. are difficult to park.

There is a night’s rest at our campsite from 3 to 8 am. Please stick to it – your fellow campers and especially the neighbors around the festival area will thank you 🙏🏼.

We have a large parking area for you at the festival site. There will be parking guides on site to show you where you can park your car on the meadow. If the parking area is full, you are welcome to use the public parking spaces in the Oberwolfach-Kirche district. From there you can reach the festival site in a ten-minute walk.

At the BUNTWALD festival you can pay with cash and card (EC, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay).

On the festival grounds we use a voucher system to speed up the payment process and to relieve our counter staff. You can get vouchers at the designated voucher counter (dt.: Bonkasse) and at all beverage stands. Please note that the food stalls have their own separate cash registers, i.e. there the vouchers are not valid and you pay directly with cash or card.

We also offer you to withdraw cash using your card at the voucher counter.

By entering the festival area, the festival visitor agrees that Buntwald e.V. as organizer, may take and publish photos and videos of you and all participants.

Attention, attention: There are no showers on the campsite. But at a one-day festival you can certainly go without one, right? 😎

As you know, we celebrate the BUNTWALD festival on a green meadow – which also means that cows will be grazing there again afterwards or the grass will be harvested. That’s why we have to pick up every cigarette butt on the grounds and the campsite after the festival. You can imagine: There are more pleasant things 😉. Please use the ashtrays we have ready for you to dispose of your cigarette butts. That way, they won’t end up in the grass in the first place – and both we and nature will thank you 🩷.

Music equipment is generally permitted on the campsite. However, please adhere to the night’s rest and show consideration for neighbors. Please also note that generators are not permitted, i.e. only battery-powered speakers can be used.

If you are asked by other campers or the crew to turn down the volume, please comply ✌️.

Unfortunately, where there are lots of people, the likelihood of theft increases. Therefore, please do not leave any valuables unattended or stow them safely away from thieves. This is probably nothing new for you, but we still want to say it: a tent is not a safe place to store things! If you do lose something or notice someone acting suspiciously, please contact the security staff or the police.

Admission is on Saturday at 5 pm. The first band starts at approx. 6 pm**.

If you want to stay at the campsite, you can arrive on Saturday from 2 pm and leave again on Sunday during the day.

There are sufficient toilet carts and porta-potties on the grounds.

Attention all campers:

• There are no showers on the campsite. But at a one-day festival you can certainly go without one, right? 😎
• Please note that we cannot provide you with drinking water on the campsite. Our sanitary facilities are connected to a spring water supply, but this is not certified as drinking water. So please remember to bring enough drinking water for your needs.

It goes without saying: Please take your garbage home with you from the festival site and the campsite. If you are camping, please take care not to leave tent pegs in the ground. They can become a serious problem when farming the meadow. We will provide you with sufficient trash cans on the festival grounds. Please make good use of them and if you smoke, please use the ashtrays we provide. More information can be found under Smoking.
